Underwear Shoot with Bianca

OoOoooh some of you may say, underwear or lingerie!
Every time I get one of these shoots I get numerous requests asking if I need any help! Why is this? I don't know...:)
Shooting models in underwear is no different to me than shooting anything else, the same planning and preparation go into it and the same professionalism applies and yet there's a smoky haze surrounding it.
Is it glamour? Is it fashion or something else?
I'm not a glamour photographer, never have been, not interested and yet it is very difficult to get the right balance with this type of photography.
I don't know why, I just think you have to be so much more aware of the subject, body position and the lighting to create fab images. Its a real juggling act and the guys that are really good at this strike a perfect equilibrium on all counts and I take my hat off to these guys.
This shoot was easier since I knew the model Bianca ( we have worked together a few times now) and she wanted to add some lingerie images to her portfolio. Some are more fashion based, some are more sensual boudoir, alluring and innocent and at the same time provocative and some are more in your face, bit cheeky, touching slightly on the glamour genre but hopefully not too much!
I had already decided how I was going to approach this shoot starting with 1 light, adding another in some cases and balancing lots of natural light coming into the studio. Changing modifiers occasionally and playing this balancing act all created the different looks that you see here.
Its all about understanding the light, and seeing what works best at any given time.
I also feel that this sort of shoot can benefit immensely from a great location but that isn't always an option hence why I strive to know how to use my studio to its full potential. Not one of these shots was taken using background paper!
So, enough rambling as usual! Here are a selection of the images form the shoot showing a bit of a cross section of what we achieved.
Can I do these sort of shoots? You decide.... :)

I was going to type Chris's response, however it was an audible noise that I cannot quite work out how to type... Something like "oouurgghh" followed by "I wish I had Andy's job"
